~ HOW IT WORKS ~
|
The purpose of the Seminar Fund is to financially assist artists who wish to attend The Expanded Visions in the MischTechnik Seminar.
The method is to have potential students Sell Art (their own, or Originals & Giclées donated by the teachers), so they will gain experience in selling while generating funds. They're encouraged to use their own networks (family, friends, contacts) while developing creative ways of attracting abundance.
The Earnings from the Giclée sales go into the Non-Profit Seminar Fund, and are book-marked for the student. We'll try to match the student's earnings with extra money from the Fund to help them reach their goal.* If, unfortunately, the student can't make it to the seminar, then the giclée earnings will remain in the fund for future students.
* The Seminar Fund was begun in 2012. Extra money will gradually enter the Fund through sales of the Original Paintings and Donations.

~ WHAT CAN THE STUDENT DO? ~
|
The Four Seminar Teachers have created Special Edition Giclées for The Seminar Fund ~ in a Limited Edition of 30 giclées each. These can be purchased through this site via PayPal for $500 ~ with instructions given by the benefactor "Purchased on behalf of ______ (student name)." For each giclée that the student sells, $400 will be bookmarked for him/her in the fund (the remaining $100 will cover mounting, handling & delivery costs). The giclée will be sent to the benefactor with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
The Special Edition Giclées allow the student's family & friends to acquire works of art while supporting their art education. Naturally, students are strongly encouraged to sell their own works of art at the same time! A good example is given by artist Michael Brinker, who organized a special, one night Seminar Fund Raiser for family & friends. As the photos show, he sold art (both his own & teachers' Giclées), held raffles and even opened a kissing booth to successfully raise the money to make it to Italy...
The student may also earn Fund Money through A Commission on the sale of Original Art donated by the teachers. The Commission, which will also be bookmarked for him/her in the fund, amounts to 20% of the original painting's sale price. (See below)

~ WHAT CAN THE BENEFACTOR DO? ~
|
|
To begin, the Benefactor can help out by purchasing a Special Edition Giclée (in the name of a student, or anonymously).
As well, several Original Works, donated by the Teachers, are on offer. These large-scale paintings were created by the Teachers in collaboration with their students. For example, in 2010, four very special paintings emerged from Group Air (led by Gonzalez), Group Earth (led by Caruana), Group Water (led by Sage) and and Group Fire (led by Sage & Brinker). After the Seminar, each of the teachers made a final pass over the work, leaving their own distinct imprint and making it a rather unique image in their oeuvre.
Meanwhile, in 2011 the entire class created a Live Collaboration on the final night.
Each collaborative painting was created with a distinct intention in mind ~ to aid the next year's students in realizing their dream of attending the seminar. Since the funds earned from the sale of one year's painting aids the students of the next year - the Circle of Hope & Generosity goes round, from year to year.
All of these paintings are available for purchase ~ with 100% of the profits going directly to the Seminar Fund to benefit needy students. Photos and videos of the paintings are offered below.
If a potential student finds a buyer for one of these paintings, then he/she will earn a 20% Commission on the sale (the money being bookmarked for him/her in the fund).
Last of all, Benefactors can make A Donation, large or small, to the Seminar Fund through the "Make a Donation" button below. Each and every penny goes directly to the students.
