A VISIONARY JOURNEY TO THE EAST
~ 2003 ~

NEPAL AND TIBET


       After a week in Kathmandu (paradise!), we headed overland through the Tibetan mountains in Land Cruisers, stopping at monastery towns like Latse, Xigatse and Gyantse. Mounting to 5000 metres at certain passes, the altitude hit us hard. Nights were Hell. But, the wonderful karma of the Tibetans kept us going. By the time we reached Lhasa, we had been swept up into a wondrous world of temples, monks, prayer and pilgrimmages.
