EXHIBITION IN NATIONAL MUSEUM IN PARIS

       I have one of my works hanging at The Musée Quai Branly in Paris!

       From November 14th 2023 to May 24th 2024, this National Museum of Ethnology will be holding the exhibition titled SHAMANIC VISIONS - AYAHUASCA ART IN THE PERUVIAN AMAZON (Visions Chamaniques - Art d'ayahuasca en Amazonie peruvienne). The exhibition features Amazonian artists like Pablo Amaringo. But the final rooms offer Visionary works 'from the Western Counter-culture,' where my painting The Vine of the Dead shares a room with works by Robert Venosa and Martina Hoffmann.

SOLO EXHIBITION IN VIENNA

       On October 27th, 2023, I had a Solo Exhibition at the Avaloka Mystic Dance Experience in the legenary Sargfabric (Coffin Factory) in Vienna, with dance, live and electronic music.

NEW PODCAST ABOUT PSYCHEDELIC GNOSIS

       The Center for the Study of World Religions at The Harvard Divinity School has been doing some great work in the area of Psychedelics and Religion through its Transcendence and Transformation Initiative. 

       One example is the Pop Apocalypse Podcast hosted by Matthew J. Dillon. Over the course of an hour, we go deep into dreams, visions, the afterlife and my Apocryphon Chapel project. Give it a listen...

NEW PH. D. THESIS ON VISIONARY ART

       I'm pleased to see more academic research into Visionary Art. My work ~ particularly my First Manifesto of Visionary Art ~ was seriously reviewed for her Ph. D. thesis. 

       A year ago, Lisa Hester interviewed me for her research, and we developed such a good rapport that I was invited to give an online lecture at her university. Then Lisa and her 10-year old daughter joined us for The 2023 Summer Seminar at Torri Superiore Italy.

       Her thesis makes a very interesting comparison between three branches of Visionary Art ~ Outsider Art, Jungian-style Symbolist Art and the Counter-Cultural Visionary Art of Psychedelic Trance Festivals ~ attempting to draw forth a clearer definition of the term.

       I read an advance copy and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is definitely worth a read.

ALCHEMY OF PAINT - 2019

       In the Winter of 2019, I led a wonderful group of talented artists through The Alchemy of Paint at The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art. Seven of my lectures were filmed and posted online as The Alchemy, Visions & Art Series. 

RETROSPECTIVE IN VIENNA - 2018

       In the Spring of 2018, The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art held a retrospective of my work, with 16 of my paintings and many drawings on exhibition. The Opening was well-attended.

LAUNCH OF SACRED CODES - VIENNA 2018

       The Book Launch was accompanied by a lecture where I discussed some of the basic principles of the book. 

THE OPENING OF THE VIENNA ACADEMY OF VISIONARY ART ~ 2013

       The Vienna Academy of Visionary Art opened its doors in September of 2013. It was located in the centre of Vienna, just across from the Hofburg Palace. A celebration was held in the Palais Palffy with many artists in attendance, including the Academy's Honorary Director, Professor Ernst Fuchs. My wife Florence Ménard and myself co-directed the Academy for seven year.

       The exhibition opened with an Evening of Live Painting featuring Liba WS and myself, with Shaye B providing shamanic chants and instruments.

TEACHING AT THE OMEGA INSTITUTE - 2012

       For two years in a row, I gave week-long workshops at the Omega Institute in Upstate New York, teaching the Mischtechnik and leading students through visualizations. 

ENTHEOLOGUE AT COSM - 2008

       At a time when Psychedelics were still a relatively taboo subject, Alex Grey and I had an evening-long discussion about the nature of psychedelic experience. 

EXHIBITION IN MALTA - 2007

       In 2007, I was thrilled to be invited to the Metageum conference, where I exhibited five of my original paintings and also gave a talk on Approaching Megalithic Culture Through the Ancient Image Language. Along with Erik Davis and Gyrus, I formed part of a discussion panel on Entheogens in Megalithic Culture. It was a pleasure to return to the island of my ancestors.
